 Specialty Classes:

·         Come check out our new cutting edge specialty fitness classes happening at both Malkin and Hemenway facilities. Please register early as these classes are designed to advance your performance over an eight week period. Member Registration starts on Wednesday, September 11th - 25th.

New Group Exercise Schedule:

·         Fall 2013 Group Exercise classes are underway. Make sure to check out both class schedules for Malkin and Hemenway on our website.

Around the Charles:

·         It takes 17 miles to complete a lap around the Charles River Esplanade. By participating in 34 supervised workouts between September 30th and December 8th at HEM & MAC you will have completed the equivalent of two laps around the Charles River. Register online at http://recreation.gocrimson.com/programs/ATC 

 

 

Free Fitness Assessments and orientations:

·         Malkin and Hemenway are offering free fitness assessments and orientations for Harvard recreation members. Take a tour with a personal trainer to get orientated at MAC and HEM and learn how to use the machines safely. Our free assessment can demonstrate to you just how fit you are and how fit you can become. Advanced sign-up is required to schedule an appointment. Harvard Slim Down (HSD):

·         Are you wanting to make healthy lifestyle changes, but just aren’t sure where to start? If so the Harvard Slim Down Class is designed just for you. HSD is a program designed to encourage gradual and do-able lifestyle changes that can help you become your own success story. HSD includes 1 hour of class time each week and tips and motivation for what to do during the REST of the week. This program is designed for the beginning exerciser to the intermediate exerciser who needs extra motivation and supervision. Member registration for the fall session is September 11th-25th.
