This will be the last official recreation newsletter for 2013.  We have some exciting programs scheduled for the Winter session which you can check out below. Also, please go to http://recreation.gocrimson.com/recreation/hours  to the see the reduced January facilities schedule.

 

We are very sad to say good bye to Kerry Antunes we wish her luck with her amazing new opportunity. In the interim I will be sending out the newsletter so please feel free to contact me at macpt@fas.harvard.edu.

HARVARD ON THE MOVE

·         New this fall, the option of a shorter run (2-3 mile) loop led by one of our fabulous student run leaders Angi, Brian or Robert. As always you are welcome and encouraged to walk/run whatever distance or length is right for you.

ROWING

·         Weld Boathouse is now open for recreational rowing, Monday-Friday, 10am-5pm!  The seasons and prices for membership can be found online: http://recreation.gocrimson.com/recreation/activities/rowing/index

·         Memberships are sold out of the Murr Center Fitness Room: valid swim tests are required. Rowing instruction is also available, please contact Dan Boyne (boyne@fas.harvard.edu) for more information.

MEMBERSHIP

·         NEW GUEST POLICY

o   The new guest fee is $15 per guest. Undergraduates are allowed one free guest at the MAC or Hemenway; HLS Students are allowed one free guest at Hemenway only.

o   All guests (with the exception of alumni) MUST be accompanied by a Harvard Affiliate with current membership, and must remain with that member throughout the visit.  Alumni will be allowed to use the facility without a member, as long as proof of alumnus status can be shown with a photo ID upon entry. 

o   Guests should be able to provide a photo ID to verify the information written on the form - the staff should not copy or hold the ID for any reason (the form should have a spot that can be initialed by the staff when an ID is verified).
