I have received feedback that the attachments did not come through. Is
this the case for others too? Please check and let me know if there is a
problem or if it is an isolated incident.
Thanks!

Dear members,
Just a brief update on the meeting that was held at the MGSA Symposium
two weeks ago. As you recall from my previous message, that outlined the
agenda, we had some "housekeeping" issues to attend to as the MGSA
Library Committee was given official status as a Standing Committee of
the MGSA. The minutes of the meeting and the composition of the
committee for 2007-2009 will be posted to this list as soon as we get
the approval from the MGSA Executive Board.
Meanwhile, the discussion of the MGRP continued, we reviewed the goals
and objectives and draft bylaws. I am attaching these documents for
your review and asking for your feedback. If you recall from our Athens
meeting, there was discussion about a meeting in Crete, in 2008. Our
colleagues Michael Tzekakis and Yannis Kosmas have reiterated their
willingness to host a meeting. As you all know, something like this
takes much work and planning, and we need to be sure that it is a
realistic goal. Michael and Yannis submitted an excellent paper that I
had the privilege of reading at the lunchtime panel. Their paper
followed up on our Athens meetings and really gave substance to our
previous discussions. Michael and Yannis--would you be so kind as to
make your paper available to members of this list? You can send it as an
attachment and I will be sure that it gets posted.
Last, and certainly not least, the proceedings from our Athens
conference were published in time for the MGSA Symposium. They appear in
the Gennadius Library publication, /The New Griffon/ (9).
Congratulations to Maria and her team, and to Kostas Papadopoulos of
Potamos Publishers who managed to get the issues to New Haven with the
ink still wet! ;) We now have a permanent record of our efforts and I
hope this will keep our momentum going. Please have a look at the
attached documents, and send any feedback to the list.
Best regards,
Rhea
