Blackwell's Rare Books is pleased to offer a new short list of 30 items
highlighting the history of printing with Greek type outside of Greece. The
list stretches over 400 years from the 1513 Aldine Plato through the first
Greek printing in Rome, Froben in Basel, several different Royal Printers in
Paris, early Greek printing in England, British university presses including
Oxford, Cambridge, and the Foulis brothers in Glasgow, Ibarra,
Bodoni, and the
Proctor types, and finishes with van Krimpen's Antigone type as used in the
Nonesuch Homer.
