Institute for Mediterranean Studies, FO.R.T.H., Greece (
http://digitalcrete.ims.forth.gr) has established a cultural information
system, consisting of digitized documentation and information regarding the
cultural heritage of the Mediterranean island of Crete, from prehistory to
the modern periods. Dr. Kolovos is Lecturer in Ottoman History at the
Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete, Greece. He
is currently a Visiting Fellow of the Program of Hellenic Studies at
Princeton University.***
