am not the administrator of these fellowships, but am simply trying to get
the word out. Please feel free to forward at will.
The link below may be of interest to scholars outside the New York area --
it gives full information on the short-term research fellowships at NYPL
that are back for a second year. The program is still in formation; we are
hoping, of course, that it will become annual. At present there are twenty
fellowships of $2500 apiece.

While last year the funds were linked to specific collections, this year
they are available for work in any collection of any of the research
libraries, including the Stephen A Schwarzman Building (i.e., the building
with the lions), the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, the
Library for the Performing Arts, and the Science, Industry, and Business
Library.
Note the fairly short deadline -- April 1st!
