An unexpected chain of events takes Máiquel, a young Brazilian without economic prospects, from an innocent haircut to a spontaneous act of violence. Based on Patricia Melo's award-winning novel O Matador, this vibrant, gritty saga follows in the vein of recent Brazilian films such as City of God.
Free and open to the public. Screened in Portuguese with English subtitles.
