He has performed with Romero Lubambo, Cyro Baptista, Fernando Brandão (Brasileirinho), Receita de Samba, Alfredo Cardim Quintet, Teresa Inês, Samba Tremeterra, Evelyn Rosenthal, and many others. David's current group performs songs by João Donato, Milton Nascimento, Gilberto Gil, Djavan, Chico Buarque, and Antonio Carlos Jobim. CHOROS COM CHOCOLATE
At the heart of Choro music live the forms and harmonies of classical European dance and chamber music, taken to the streets and the beach to run barefoot. To this popular 20th-century Brazilian tradition, Choros com Chocolate brings an extra measure of urban grit and a fresh instrumentation. The band members are distinguished by their versatility; each is proficient in classical music, jazz, and music of various parts of the world. Catherine Bent, cello; Jared Sims, alto sax and flute; Jason Davis, 7-string guitar; and Brian O'Neill, percussion, playing the music of Pixinguinha, Jacobo do Bandolim, Hermeto Pascoal, and others, as well as band originals.
