Duda Falcão is the founder and a managing partner at Gera since Feb. 2010. She began her career at McKinsey RJ (2005 to 2007) and then worked with private equity at PCP - UBS Pactual (2007-2009). She also worked at the Department of Education of the City of RJ (2009-2010). Duda graduated in business administration from the University of Virginia's McIntire School of Commerce. 

Gera is an investment company focused on education in Brazil. It invests in high potential entrepreneurs, with the dual objective of creating substantial impact on education while delivering attractive financial returns. Its main investor is Jorge Paulo Lemann. The company focuses on growth equity and early stage ventures, playing an active role through sourcing talents, industry knowledge and managerial expertise. When analyzing a potential investment, it considers the following criteria: entrepreneur quality, financial attractiveness, education impact and potential to scale. Its vision is to be the most desired strategic partner in investing in education in Brazil while helping close Brazil's education gap.
