Crimson Swimmers Perform
Well in Final Day of NCAA Championships

Eric Lynch finished
18th in the 1650 freestyle.
FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Three Harvard swimmers raced in
the final day of competition at the NCAA Championships held at the King
County Aquatic Center.
Junior Eric
Lynch placed 18th in the finals of the 1650 freestyle event with a
time of 15:11.36.
Earlier Saturday in the
preliminary races, senior Geoff
Rathgeber finished 24th in the 200 breaststroke, as the senior
touched the wall in 1:59.08.
Rathgeber earned
All-America status Thursday in the 200 IM,
and followed with All-America honorable mention Friday in the 400 IM
event.He was sixth with a mark of
1:45.61 in the 200 IM, and was 11th in the 400 IM (3:47.65).
In the 200 butterfly,
junior Bill
Jones placed 25thin
the preliminaries, with a time of 1:46.12.
The Crimson
finished 31st as a team at nationals with 19 points.
