The Mideast-list distributes information about CMES, Harvard and Boston-area events, as well as job announcements, and items of news. We also use this list to forward information we receive by e-mail which is likely to be of interest to our community. A detailed calendar of CMES events can also be found on our online magazine, e-cmes, at http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~mideast/magazine/ If you have an item you would like to post, send it to mideast-list@lists.fas.harvard.edu. If the list-owners consider the information to be valuable to the community, the message will be posted to the list for you. (No messages can be posted without approval of the list-owners.) Using mideast-list
To post a message to all the list members, send email to mideast-list@lists.fas.harvard.edu. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to mideast-list
Subscribe to mideast-list by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
