U.S. premiere of the documentary film "When Home is the Street"*
This documentary film chronicles the lives of street children in Rio de
Janeiro and Mexico City. Award-winning Brazilian filmmaker Thereza
Jessouroun brings to life stories of street children's resilience and
transformation through the power of compassion and support. The film was
produced through a collaboration between the CIESPI Project and the Fetzer
Institute.
The premiere will be followed by a discussion with Prof. Irene Rizzini, one
of the researchers whose work inspired the film. Stephanie Berzin, GSSW
Associate Professor and Chair of the Children, Youth & Families
concentration, will moderate the film discussion, to be followed by a
reception.
