Research Workshop in Applied Statistics

This Wednesday, January 31, please join the Applied Statistics Workshop
at 12 noon for a presentation by Holger Lutz Kern entitled "The Effect of Free 
Foreign Media on the Stability of Authoritarian Regimes: Evidence from a
Natural Experiment in Communist East Germany."  An abstract of the talk is

Lunch will be served at noon and the presentation will begin at 12:15 PM
in Room N354 of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, located in
the CGIS Knafel Building at 1737 Cambridge St. (next to the Design
