for the Entry-level Structured Finance Legal 
Assistant position that is available here in our 
New York Office.  We will be collecting resumes 
on a continual basis until the position has been

This Legal Assistant position is a full-time 
position with the hours of 9:45 am - 6:00 pm.  As 
mentioned in the job description, candidates will 
also need to have flexibility and a willingness 
to work potentially large amounts of paid 
overtime as needed.  The annual salary for this position is 36K.

Structured Finance Legal Assistant – New York Office

As a legal assistant in our Structured Finance 
Department, you will assist attorneys by 
reviewing, organizing and preparing legal 
documents and interacting directly with clients 
and other transaction participants.

Duties include:
- Review, proofread and organize documents.
- Prepare exhibits and schedules as needed.
- Distribute draft documents to clients and 
advise third parties on the status of documents.
- Maintain and index transaction document files for assigned deals.
  Coordinate closing conferences.
- Prepare, assemble and distribute all post-closing documentation.
- Work efficiently with other legal assistants 
and secretaries to assist attorneys by providing 
clerical support (faxing, filing and photocopying) as needed.
- Participate in Firm and department work efforts 
that require additional resources.

Requirements & Specifications:
- 4 year degree (BA/BS) from a competitive 
institution with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.4 is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Sharp attention to detail and proofreading ability.
- Outstanding organizational skills (to manage 
large quantities of documents) and time 
management skills (to handle multiple concurrent deals).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize and 
exercise good judgment by asking for assistance or instructions when needed.
- Solid PC skills including experience with Word and/or WordPerfect.
- Willingness to assist attorneys and legal 
assistants in other practice areas when needed.
- Flexibility and willingness to work potentially 
large amounts of paid overtime, often on little or no notice.
- A two-year commitment is very strongly desired for this position.
