Hi Harry,
I also think George Syrimis would be a good speaker.

George Syrimis from Yale would do an excellent job as a speaker. Mike Keeley is always a
great person to have as a speaker and as a reader...
Best,
Maria

Subject: [Cohsl-list] Elytis question
Dear colleagues,
The Greek Embassy here in Washington has proposed a joint program with LC to commemorate
the 100th anniversary of the birth of poet Odysseas Elytis. They are looking for (a) a
scholar who could give a lecture on Elytis, (b) a poet who could do a reading of selected
Elytis poems (in English). Before posting to the general MGSA list, I would like to
gather ideas from you all, please let me know if you have any suggestions. Given the
financial state of both Greece and LC these days, it is doubtful that travel expenses can
be paid.
Thanks for any ideas you can provide,
Harry
