Harvard University, FAS, and Department of Physics Discrimination Policy
by C. Vafa, Physics Chair, Harvard
Dear Physics community,
I am writing to notify you that there have been new reports that some in our community have faced harassment or had their property vandalized over the last few months. I am writing to reiterate our department's unwavering stance against any form of discrimination, harassment, or intimidation.
Since our buildings are open to the entire Harvard community and the public, I am asking that you continue to be mindful of reporting anything that may seem out of the ordinary. Please report any forms of discrimination, harassment, or destruction of property to the Office of Gender Equity<https://oge.harvard.edu/> – if you see something, say something. You may also reach out to me or Despina (despina_bokios(a)fas.harvard.edu) directly if you are unsure of how to proceed.
We must rely on each other as a community and ensure that we embody a safe space for all members to exist and thrive. Our statement of values<https://equityinclusion.physics.harvard.edu/> continue to drive our academic and research programs and mission.
Thank you for your consideration and support.
