Hello from Blodgett
First, I was remiss not to include this in my last newsletter. When
looking for a Friends Chair you need to find a person who holds a
special place for Harvard Swimming. When we needed someone to replace
Jeff Peltier, Stephen Root stepped up as one of those people. His
service on the Friends behalf was instrumental in the success of the
75th celebration and instilling the word team back into our alumni base.
I am grateful of his time and efforts in support of Harvard Swimming.
Please join me in thanking Stephen for his time served as Friends
Co-Chair. We wish him and his growing family all the best.
The Harvard Men's Team cracked the College Swimming Coaches
Association Division 1 NCAA Top 25 coming in at 24th after our strong
performance at the Georgia Invite. Next, we head off for the warm
weather in Puerto Rico for our winter training trip.
We return to fact Rutgers University at home on Jan 6th then down to
Annapolis to race Navy on Jan 7th. Coming out of exams and turning
for the final stretch we have our final 3 meets at home against Brown on
Jan 27th, HYP on Feb 3-4th, and conclude our dual meet season with Penn
on Feb 11th. We hope you are able to come and support our efforts.
