*Harvard-Brazil Symposium: Achieving the Millennium Development Goals
(MDGs) by 2015 (or not) - The Brazilian Case*
This symposium will bring together leaders in global health from Brazil and
Harvard. It will draw on a growing network of collaborations in research
and teaching between Harvard and Brazil and identify key lessons in global
health that are also relevant to other regions and countries. The
experience of Brazil with the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) will be
used as a case study. Students who have studied or who plan to study in
Brazil or in other international settings will benefit from participation
in the symposium. Faculty from multiple disciplines will participate. This
symposium will provide useful perspectives on great challenges in global
health and approaches to solving them from individuals who have worked in
other geographic areas.
