Equipster release - Monday, Aug 3 -2009 between 7-8am

Dear Equipment Coordinators, FYI, an Equipster upgrade is happening on Monday and Equipster will be out of commission for 5 minutes sometime between 7 & 8 am. The upgrade will consist of a new option to choose .csv (Excel) output for the new Unassigned Transactions Report. "Search Invoices page": Choose "Both Capital & Non-Capital Assets"

Dear Equipment Coordinators, Many departments have a process whereby a tag number is assigned and an Equipster Asset Information page is created before an invoice has been paid and, therefore, before an unassigned transaction appears on the Equipster home page. When an Asset Information page has been created before transaction(s) have been assigned to it, Equipster currently considers the information associated with that page a non-capital asset, even if it is a piece of capital equipment, because the Equipster asset has a dollar value of less than $5K. *This means that when Equipment Coordinators go to the "Search Invoices" page either by...* 1. choosing "Assign Transactions" under the Actions menu or 2. clicking the vendor name in the unassigned transaction, going to the "Assign Invoice to Assets" page and clicking the "Add to Existing Asset" button. *...they must choose "Both Capital & Non-Capital Assets" in the "Asset Type" drop-down menu in order to be able to call up an Asset Information page with no transactions yet assigned to it, or with transactions assigned to it that add up to less than $5K.* We are asking the programmers to make "Both Capital & Non-Capital Assets" the default for Asset Type on the Search Invoices page, but until then please choose "Both Capital & Non-Capital Assets." If you do not, Equipster will say that the capital asset information page cannot be found. Equipment Coordinators Meeting Today
