I hope that today's meeting provided you all with clarification surrounding the University Equipment Policy. The handouts are attached.
As I mentioned towards the end of the meeting, please copy me on all communication that you have with the help desk regarding your Equipster problems. So that I too can follow-up on these issues. We strongly feel that we are getting closer to having the information appear correctly in Equipster. Thank you for your cooperation with Equipster's up's and down's. Your input is greatly appreciated.
A133 and FY 14 Inventory dates have not yet been set. As soon as I have more information I will send an update.
The next Equipment Coordinators group meeting is currently scheduled for Tuesday, April 23rd at 1pm. Location is to be determined and an outlook invite will be sent once room confirmation is received.

I have scheduled the next Equipment Coordinators Meeting for Thursday, March 21, 2013 from 2:00 to 3:30 pm. It will be held in the Northwest Labs - Room 425. Located at 52 Oxford Street, just past the Harvard Museum of Natural History.
I am pleased to announce that Jessica Schmidt and Amy Gustavsson from OSP will be joining us for our meeting.

Equipster Issues - UPDATE!
Regarding last week's email Equipster is still having Data load issues. You may have noticed an increase in assets on your homepage this week. In helping HUIT research this problem it appears that some of those new additions to the homepage are duplicates of assets that have already assigned. I would ask that you do not assign any assets until the issue is figured out.
December Meeting - UPDATE!
1) Particular problems regarding Equipster - HUIT has been emailed and I am awaiting a response. The issues that were sent were:
a) Duplicate entries - not pattern varies possible clone issues
b) Disposed assets are Running physical inventory
c) Issues with Unassigned transactions report as a CSV.
d) Some of the other issues that were discussed had been previously sent to HUIT and are being addressed.
2) What forms to use and when? OSP is still waiting to have the Equipment Policy changes finalized. It needs to be approved by SALC (Sponsored Administration Leadership Committee). I am told that some of the forms will be going away once SALC approves the policy. As soon as I have confirmation I will let you know.
3) Inventory for 2013 - No further information at this time.
We have no meeting scheduled for February but I will be sending out information for a March meeting in the next few weeks. If you have a new employee that needs training in Equipster, please contact me directly and I can schedule a one on one.

A few of you have reported to me that since sometime in January 2013 there have been almost no transactions loading into Equipster. I have notified HUIT of this situation and as soon as I hear anything on this I will let you know.
These transactions are in addition to the missing transactions problem, where you are missing internal billings and journal entries. That situation is still in the process of being figured out. We have been assigned new programmers to deal with those data issues and we are hopeful that a fix will happen soon.
