Research Workshop in Applied Statistics

This Wednesday, April 11, please join the Applied Statistics Workshop
at 12 noon for a presentation by Gary King entitled "How to Read 100
Million Blogs (and How to Classify Deaths without Physicians)". The talk
is based on two papers, one joint with Dan Hopkins and the other with Ying
Lu; an abstract of the talk and links to both papers are available through

Lunch will be served at noon and the presentation will begin at 12:15 PM
in Room N354 of the Institute for Quantitative Social Science, located in
the CGIS Knafel Building at 1737 Cambridge St. (next to the Design
