Hi all,
Please see the revised renovation statement below.
The Malkin Athletic Center will close for renovations the week of March
19 and will remain closed through the end of October 2007. This
scheduled closing has been set back from the originally published
February date to help provide greater flexibility in the relocation of
existing programs.
The Department of Athletics, Harvard College and FAS Physical Resources
are actively determining alternative spaces for the activities which
will be impacted by the closing. Activities currently scheduled in the
MAC gymnasium will move to Lavietes Pavilion, QRAC and Hemenway
Gymnasium. Pool activity will move to Blodgett Pool with expanded hours.
Exercise equipment will potentially move to a combination of QRAC, House
gyms, Yard spaces and athletic facilities at Soldiers Field. Club and
Intramural activities will be accommodated at a combination of QRAC,
Soldiers Field athletic fields and facilities and activity space at Hilles.
We appreciate users' flexibility with respect to time-specific space and
walking distance, and expect to be able to maintain a broad range of
recreational programming throughout the renovation. More detailed
information will be posted at the MAC and on the Athletics Department
website (_www.gocrimson.com_ <http://www.gocrimson.com/>) as it becomes
available.

AQUA AEROBICS CHANGE
Attention Aqua Aerobics Enthusiasts:
To make our lunchtime Aqua Aerobics classes more convenient and
accessible for those of you with lunch hour restraints, we have reduced
the noon classes to 40 minutes. The new EXPRESS class times will be as
follows: *Mondays and Wednesdays 12:15-12:55pm*. We understand that it
can be difficult to squeeze a workout in on your lunch hour, so
hopefully this change will help!
If you haven't tried aqua aerobics yet, we'd love for you to try a week
ON US! If you (or a friend) would like to try aqua aerobics but
haven't registered for recreation classes yet, we'll allow you to try 1
week of classes for free. Just pick up a coupon at the front desk for a
free week of aqua aerobics. If you suffer from joint pain, and other
land- based workouts are uncomfortable, aqua aerobics might be just what
you need! What are you waiting for? Make the splash!
