Hi everybody,
I just wanted to remind you that tickets to the Shangri-La Chinese

Dear all,
I hope to see you tonight for Dudley Knitting and Public Service's
Crochet for Charity event in the Graduate Student Lounge. Learn the
basics of Crochet and get started on a square to donate to the Pine
Street Inn's Knit-A-Thon, where squares will be assembled into
afghans and given to folks moving into the PSI's Supportive Housing
Program. It's a great cause, and a great excuse to learn a new skill.
Materials provided. Free!
6:30-7:30pm, Dudley Graduate Student Lounge. Tonight!

Hi everyone!
This Saturday, October 10th, I will be leading a group from the steps of
Dudley House to a guided tour of the Boston Public Library, highlighting
the architecture of the Copley Square Main branch, as well as its many
works by famed sculptors and painters. The tour lasts about an hour. The
Boston Public Library is listed by the American Institute of Architects
among the top buildings in the country. Admission is free, so come see
what this building has to offer! We will meet at Dudley at 10:15am and
leave as a group. Send me a quick email if you're interested in coming
so I can estimate how big our group will be.
Hope to see you there,
Charlie
Hello all!
I hope you'll join me this evening in the Fireside Room for the
second "Knit for Charity" event of the semester. This is a great
chance to learn a new skill for a good cause - we provide the
materials and instruction, and you start off making a 9x9" square for
the Pine Street Inn Knit-A-Thon - beginners very welcome! On November
9, all the squares will be sewn into blankets downtown and our
fundraising efforts will all be tallied, so I hope you can help!
Tonight's event is from 6:30-7:30 in the Dudley House Fireside Room.
Knitting group will meet as regular afterward, 7:30-10 downstairs in
the Gato Rojo.
For more information about this and other events, please check the
Dudley House Arts website: fas.harvard.edu/~dudley/fellows/art/

Katie
Hello all!
Because of the weather, Boston Tango Society's *Tango by Moonlight*
on the Charles River will be taking place TOMORROW, Sunday Oct. 4! I
hope you're still able to come!
More information to come, but we're tentatively still meeting at 7:30
pm to walk over tomorrow night.
Hope to see you dancing!

Hey everybody,
The First Friday of each month (meaning this Friday, October 2nd), the
members of the SoWa artists guild open their studios in downtown Boston
to the public. This is a cool opportunity to meet the artists in their
element and view their latest works. The Guild tries to make art and
artists accessible to everyone, so come and enjoy the fun. The event is
free. Feel free to leave early or stay late. We will meet on the steps
of Dudley House at 5pm and leave as a group. Remember your Charlie Card
or $4 cash for T fare. Send me a quick email if you are interested in
coming so I can have an idea of how many people to expect.
Hope to see you there,
Charlie
