The Tango Lesson, a 1997 drama <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drama_film>by
British director Sally Potter <http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sally_Potter>,
is a semi-autobiographical film starring Potter and Pablo Verón. It tells
of Sally a filmmaker and screenwriter suffering from writer's block. Also
dissatisfied with her film project, a murder mystery called
Rage<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rage_%282009_film%29>,
which focuses on the fashion industry, she takes a break and travels to
Paris, where she sees the dancer Pablo (Pablo Verón) performing tango. She
becomes obsessed with the dance and offers Pablo a part in her film in
exchange for dance lessons.
Please RSVP to dudleyhouse.arts(a)gmail.com if you plan on attending.

*Tickets on sale for The Sussman Variations at the Boston Playwrights'
Theatre*
Dudley House top floor
Join us for a special Arts outing to the Boston Playwrights' Theatre.
A limited number of discounted student tickets, $10 apiece, will go on sale
beginning Wednesday, Oct. 24th, in the Dudley House office, 9am-5pm.
We continue our 31st season of new plays in Boston with Obie
award-nominated playwright Richard Schotter's The Sussman Variations.
Broadway composer Charlie Sussman's got it made.
He's turning 75, and thankfully his family is joining in the celebration.
Or maybe that's the problem. His kids resent his second wife, his son
Jonathan is at war with his daughter about her college essay and with his
wife about everything, Charlie's daughter has a secret of her own, and all
of them resent Charlie for leaving their mother. Oh, and nobody wants to
hear the songs from his latest musical. If only Charlie could rewrite the
libretto for his life, maybe he'd be able to celebrate. Original music by
Phil Schroeder and lyrics by Richard Schotter.
WHERE: Boston Playwrights' Theatre -- Walcott Theatre 949 Commonwealth
Avenue Boston, MA 02215
