Dear Dudley Arts and Literary Fellows,
I am a biology graduate student, and I teach bookbinding classes in one of
the undergraduate houses on Saturdays, and grad students are very welcome!
Is there any chance you'd be willing to send the below advertisement to
your respective mailing lists? I totally understand if you don't want to be
sending too many emails!
Warmly,
Cody

Hi Dudley Arts,
A gentle reminder about a few upcoming events:
*1. Watercolor Painting Workshop, Thurs. April 7, 7:30-9:30 pm, $10
(materials included)*
Back by popular demand! Explore different meanings of color and the way it
interacts with our senses. The class is intended to introduce
non-traditional and synesthetic ways of thinking about color, and to invite
participants to notice how they think with and through color not only in
painting but in any art form. *This class is for artists at all stages,
from experienced painters to those who have never held a brush*.
*2. Charcoal Drawing Workshop, Friday, April 8, 7:30-9:30 pm, $10
(materials included)*
This workshop offers an introduction to drawing with charcoal. We will draw
in three-dimensional space while considering how the meeting of light and
dark creates form. Through a series of technical and imaginative exercises,
students will learn the nuances of drawing a line and its interaction with
surrounding space on the page and the physical world at large.
*3. Visit to the Museum of Modern Renaissance, Sun. April 10, 1:30-3:30 pm,
$10*
Sign up for a place on this guided tour of the Museum of Modern Renaissance
in Somerville! The Museum is not normally open to visitors, so this is a
great chance to explore the fascinating art it showcases. Places are
limited to 10 people, so reserve your spot soon.
*4. Freedom trail tour with costumed guide, Sat. April 16, 4-5:30 pm, $5
($10 for guests)*
Jump into history with a unique, privately guided tour of the Boston
Freedom Trail. Your costumed tour guide will dramatically tell stories from
American history for 90 minutes. A group will leave from Dudley at 3:15 pm
to go into Boston.
*5. Peabody Essex Trip, Sun. May 15, day trip*
More information to come soon!
All tickets can be reserved on the third floor of Dudley house with Jeff
Shenette. For more information or any questions, simply reply to this
email.
Have a great day!
