both our beginner and intermediate Tango Argentino series is now open
at Dudley House and filling up fast. If you've taken classes with us
in the past, or are interested in trying something new and incredibly
exciting, then be sure to sign up today or certainly before the first

Argentine Tango Lessons at Dudley House!
Have you ever considered learning what Martha Graham once called the
fabulous dance of the past one hundred years and the most beautiful?
Now’s your chance!
Beginning on Wednesday, September 19th, a nine-week series of
Argentine Tango for absolute beginners will meet weekly from 7-8:30pm.
No partner or previous dance experience required. From 8:30-10pm will
meet a progressive intermediate series designed for those who took
lessons with us last year or for those with prior experience. A guided
práctica, open to all levels, will follow. All lessons will be held at
Holden Chapel on the Old Yard.
Open to graduate students and guests. Students: $75; guests: $100.
Class size is limited, so register early in the Dudley House Office,
located on the third floor of Lehman Hall, beginning on Tuesday, Sept.
11th. No need to sign up with a partner; partners will rotate

Join us for the first Dudley Art class of the semester: Fundamentals of
Drawing - Still Life & Portraits. The class is a 5-week series (Sep 22, Sep
30, Oct 13, Oct 20, Oct 28), and is open to all levels of drawing
experience. The cost is $30, plus materials. Registration starts on Sept 4
in the Dudley House office on the 3rd floor of Lehman Hall; payment is due
at the time of registration. Longwood-based students may call the Dudley
House office at 617-495-2255 to register. Enrollment is limited to 15
people on a first come, first served basis. Open to Dudley House members

*Dudley Arts Chamber Music Series***
Call for Musicians!
After an auspicious debut at the Lily Pad in Inman Square last fall and
Dudley House last spring, the Dudley Arts Chamber Music Initiative will
continue throughout the fall 2012 semester. Its ongoing mission is to
connect GSAS musicians with professionals throughout the Boston/Cambridge
area for interesting collaborations at unusual venues. If you’re interested
in performing on the fall concert and have a chamber group already formed,
or if you are looking for fellow musicians to form an ensemble, then write
to Thomas Wisniewski at dudleyhouse.arts(a)gmail.com. The concert will be
held in mid-November at a venue TBD; rehearsals, individually arranged,
will run throughout the spring semester.

Join us for an Arts outing to an all-Schubert concert, performed by the
Longy Conservatory Orchestra as part of their SeptemberFest concert series.

*Boston Symphony Orchestra performance*

Symphony Hall, Boston
Join us for an Arts outing to the Boston Symphony Orchestra featuring
violinist Joshua Bell performing Bernstein’s Serenade inspired by Plato’s
Symposium. Also on the program are Tchaikovsky's fantasy-overture, Romeo
and Juliet, and Dvořák’s bucolic Symphony No. 8.
Discounted tickets at $30 apiece, available to Dudley House members and
their guests, will go on sale at the office on the third floor of Lehman
Hall beginning on *September 5th*. On the evening of the concert, we will
meet at 6:45pm on the Dudley House steps to take the bus together down to
