Dear Dudley Arts Enthusiasts,
Five spots are still open for the following Dudley House painting workshop
which will be held tonight (Thursday) at 7:30 pm at Dudley House. Just
bring $15 with you to the workshop if you would like to participate!
*Line, *Color*, and Space: Experiencing *Color* Through the Five Senses"*
Thursday, November 21, 7:30 - 9:30 pm
*Private Dining Room*
*Instructor: Diane Szczepaniak*
In this workshop, we will consider different meanings of color and the way
it interacts with our senses. Through technical and imaginative exercises,
students will explore how color symbolism and association are built up and
broken down. By the end of the class, everyone will have created
paintings—either figurative or abstract—that reflect personal and formal or
compositional uses of color. The class is intended to introduce
non-traditional and synesthetic ways of thinking aboutcolor, and to invite
participants to notice how they think with and through color not only in
painting but in any art form, and even in their daily lives. The class will
last 90 minutes, with time for individual painting at the end. Materials
will be included.
For any questions, please e-mail dudleyhouse.arts(a)gmail.com.
