*Outing to The Orpheus Singers Concert*
Saturday, November 12, 8pm, Emmanuel Church, 15 Newbury Street, Boston
Join us for an outing to hear The Orpheus Singers accompanied by a string
orchestra. The Singers will present two works by Jean-Baptiste Lully, *De
Profundis* and *Dies Irae*, and one by Marc-Antoine Charpentier, *Le
Reniement de Saint-Pierre* (The Denial of Saint Peter). These
concerto-like pieces from the time of Louis XIV present exciting stylistic
challenges for singers, especially in working with Latin in a 17th century
musical style. $15 student tickets will be available at the door. We will
meet at 7pm on the Dudley House steps. RSVP to Ivanna Yi (
iyi(a)fas.harvard.edu).
