Drawing / Painting Classes
Saturdays, 2-4:30pm, beginning Sept. 11,
Dudley House private dining room
The drawing / painting class is open to both beginners and more advanced
students. We will begin with drawing, and will move into painting and / or
human figure drawing, adjusting the course according to the interests and
abilities of students in the class. The following is the instructor's
description:
"The purpose of this course is building the fundamental basics of visual
communication and expression through drawing. We will examine the
two-dimensional image using several different media. The
development of technical skills through academic drawing will be emphasized
during class-- line, composition proportion, value, space, etc. There will
be flexibility for more experienced students as the
class continues throughout the semester."
The class size is limited to 15 in order that there will be time for
individualized instruction. Registration for the first 6-week session is
$30, which needs to be paid in full at the time of registration. Students
will also pay for the cost of materials (around $30) which may be subsidized
in part by Dudley House. We only have a few more spots available, so please
sign up early at the Dudley House office, open tomorrow from 9am-5pm.
