Two ten-week series: beginner & advanced beginner
Have you ever considered learning what Martha Graham once called *the* fabulous
dance of the past one hundred years and the most beautiful? Now’s your
chance. The first ten-week series of Argentine Tango for absolute beginners
will take place in the Northwest Labs on Thursday evenings from 8-9pm; from
9-10pm a second series will meet designed for those who took the beginning
series at Dudley last spring or for those with prior experience. $50 for ten
lessons; class size limited to 30. Sign up early in the Dudley House
Office, beginning on Thursday, Sept. 1st.No partner or previous dance

Saturdays, 2-4pm, September 17-October 29, Private Dining Room
The first six-week session of the Dudley arts class will be centered on
the fundamentals of drawing, including portraiture, still-life, and
landscape,The class will meet on Saturdays, 2-4pm in the Dudley Private
Dining Room beginning on September 17. The current session is sold out, but
contact Ivanna Yi (iyi(a)fas.harvard.edu) to be placed on a waiting list for
the next session, Nov. 5-Dec. 3 on Saturday afternoons.
*Harvard Art Museums Gallery Talk, Prints and the Pursuit of Knowledge in
Early Modern Europe--SPACES STILL AVAILABLE*
Friday, September 23, 3pm, Arthur M. Sackler Museum, 485 Broadway
Join us for a gallery talk on *Prints and the Pursuit of Knowledge in
Early Modern Europe*, a special exhibition at the Harvard Art Museums that
examines how celebrated Northern Renaissance artists contributed to the
scientific discoveries of the 16th century. The talk, organized exclusively
for Dudley House members, will be led by exhibition curator Susan Dackerman,
the Carl A. Weyerhaeuser Curator of Prints, Division of European and
American Art. We will meet at 2:45pm in the lobby of the Sackler Museum.

*Outing to Opening Night at Symphony: Boston Symphony Orchestra *
Saturday, Oct. 1st, 8pm, Symphony Hall
Join us for an outing to the Boston Symphony Orchestra’s Opening Night at
Symphony: an all-Mozart program featuring violinist and conductor,
Anne-Sophie Mutter, performing Violin Concerti No. 1, 2, and 4. Tickets
available to Dudley House members and their guests will go on sale at Dudley
House beginning September 1st. We will meet at 7pm on the Dudley House steps

*Chamber Music *

Are you interested in playing chamber music at unusual venues in Cambridge
and Boston? Do you have a group already or are you interested in forming
one? Then join us for the first fall concert to be held off-campus in late
October. Duets, trios, quartets, and larger ensembles are all welcome.
Rehearsals will begin in September; players will rehearse individually, then
meet for a dress rehearsal and the concert. Send names of musicians,
instruments, and ideas for repertoire to Thomas Wisniewski (
