*3. Christmas Revels show - Dec. 9-27; price depends on seat (open to all)*
The Christmas Revels, "An Acadian-Cajun Celebration ofthe Winter Solstice,"
is at Sanders Theater throughout December. The Revels is a Cambridge-based
non-profit organization that has become an annual tradition for many. It
combines song, dance, and theatrical spectacle with an amateur chorus and
professional leads, each year exploring and appreciating the traditional
songs of a different culture.
French Canadians might especially be interested to see Josee Vachon on
stage, while fans of Cajun folk music will get to see David Greeley.
Francophones will be happy to hear that our music is, of course, mostly in
French. Other big names and details for the shows can be found at
http://www.revels.org/shows-events/christmas-revels/. Tickets are sold
through the Harvard Box Office.
*4. 107th annual Christmas Carol services - Sunday Dec. 11, 7:30-9pm; FREE
(open to all)*
The 107th Annual Christmas Carol Services will be held on Sunday, December
11 and on Tuesday, December 13 at 7:30 p.m. in the Parish of St. Paul in
Harvard Square on 29 Mount Auburn Street. (The Memorial Church building is
currently undergoing renovation). Admission is free; an offering for
charity is collected
Good luck with end-of-the semester work!
