Dear Arts enthusiasts,
Two quick reminders for exciting upcoming Arts events this week and next:
1. Join us for an outing to the GSD to see Loeb Fellow Helen Marriage
in conversation with Ben Cameron, programme director for the arts,
Doris Duke Foundation, and Anita Contini, head of arts at Bloomberg
Philanthropies. “An occasional series of conversations led by creative
producer and Loeb Fellow Helen Marriage exploring how cultural events
can disrupt daily life and transform our cities.”
We’ll meet on the Dudley House steps at 1pm and walk over together to
the GSD. Please RSVP to dudleyhouse.arts(a)gmail.com if you plan on
attending.
Helen Marriage is co-founder of Artichoke, based in London, and
producer of urban spectacle, celebration and “disruption.” Her work
injects unorthodox behavior into an urban setting to make people
reflect on the place where they live, work and play–its possibilities,
limitations and potential for stimulating new ideas. In 2006,
Artichoke brought The Sultan’s Elephant to London and captivated a
million residents for four days.
2. CHAPLIN’S THE GOLD RUSH: Arts Film Screening on Friday, April 12th,
7pm, Graduate Student Lounge
Join us for refreshments and a screening of the film Charlie Chaplin
most wanted to be remembered for: "The Gold Rush." Open to all Dudley
House members and guests. Please RSVP to dudleyhouse.arts(a)gmail.com if
you plan on attending.

Happy spring from your Dudley Arts Fellows!
