Sincerely,
The Dudley Arts Fellows
See below for an announcement of an exciting event on April 27!
On April 27th, the Romance Languages and Literatures Department will celebrate Sant Jordi, the Day of Books and Roses!
This year we celebrate the 75th anniversary of the death of the poet Màrius Torres (1910-1942), and recognize three other major writers of literary classics who died on or around April 23, Saint George's Day: William Shakespeare (1564-1616), Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616) and Josep Pla (1897-1981).
Following the Catalan tradition, RLL Department invites you to bring a book you would like someone else to discover in order to exchange it.
You can also read a passage from an author you enjoy in the original language and its translation into English.
This event is open to the general public. Icecream will be provided!
LOCATION: Memorial Church porch (Harvard Yard)
In case of rain: we will meet at Boylston Hall, 4th floor.
Date: April 27th, 5-7pm
Followed by a reception with refreshments.
Sponsored by the Institut Ramon Llull; Department of Romance Languages and Literatures.

~ Come discover French wines and cheeses from France’s various wine and
dairy producing regions! Ranging from the well-known to the obscure, from
the upmarket to the budget, from red, whites, and rosés to chèvre,
camembert, and comté this evening proposes both to introduce the French
concept of “terroir” to the uninitiated as well as offer new discoveries to
our Francophile armchair oenologists and connoisseurs of cheese.
Explanations in English and French with French conversation encouraged
among our attendees. All welcomed! ~
