*Opportunity to Paint/Draw/Collage for A.R.T. Installation*
For anyone interested, visiting artist Ruth Bauer is inviting students to
help collaborate on an installation piece for the Loeb lobby in conjunction
with the American Repertory Theatre's production of The Blue
Flower<http://www.americanrepertorytheater.org/events/show/blue-flower&g…er>.
The show's iconography is inspired by the collages, assemblages, and stage
designs made by the eclectic group of individuals that collectively comprise
"Dada", an anarchist cultural movement active in Europe after the first
World War.
Students are welcome to collaborate on the installation currently being
built in the Arts Space at Adams House on Linden Street, and those
interested in painting, drawing, collage, and photomontage can make original
works for display along the gallery walls of the Loeb lobby for the duration
of the show. Photographs and images of these works also have the opportunity
of being submitted for publication in a special section of the Dudley
Review<http://www.harvarddudleyreview.org/>
.
Ruth holds work nights every Wednesday starting at 7 pm and will be opening
up the studio space on select weekends as well. Please contact Thomas Lee (
lee16(a)fas.harvard.edu, 617.495.8676) or Cynthia Browne (cbrowne82(a)gmail.com)
for more information about the project.
