CRADLES TO CRAYONS
Use your leadership skills, do something about your dedication to
service and to community building -- work with The Volunteer Family
for National Family Volunteer Day: Saturday, November 19.
Cradles to Crayons receives donations of high-quality clothing, toys
and books for homeless Massachusetts children. You will oversee the
family volunteer teams participating in the donation distribution and
help with event-day volunteer registration, directing volunteers to
their tasks, taking pictures of the event, set-up/clean-up and
troubleshooting event-day complications -- and you can help with the
project, too!
The Cradles event is divided into two shifts, from 10am-12pm and from
1pm-3pm on Saturday, November 19. We'll need event leaders to show up
30 minutes before and stay 30 minutes after each shift to help with
set-up and clean-up. The Cradles warehouse is located in Quincy, MA
and is accessible from public transportation. We want 4 volunteers for
each shift - sign-up with your friends!
Interested? E-mail Linda at dudleypublicservice(a)gmail.com

Clothing Drive
Starting 11/4
Have so much clothes in your closet that you don't know what to do
with it? Instead of putting them into permanent storage, why not

them up with wear-able clothing/shoes. These items will be donated to
the Lutheran Church homeless shelter in Harvard Sq.
