*This year Dudley Public Service Team will proudly participate again in the
Walk for Hunger charity fundraising event. Join us as a walker, sponsor, or
both in the largest public fundraising walk in the Commonwealth! *
Every May, over 40,000 people walk all or part of a 20-mile course through
Greater Boston, earning the pledges they’ve collected to support Project
Bread’s fresh approach to ending hunger in our state. Together, we raise
awareness of the reality of hunger in our state, make a powerful statement
about our shared commitment to help people in need, and importantly, raise
funds that make it possible to develop, fund, and facilitate much-needed
programs that provide hope. YOU will set the example of what is possible
when we join forces to create, advocate for, and support meaningful change.
Last year, Project Bread funded over 400 community food programs and
provided more than 60 million meals to those in need.

The Greater Boston Food Bank needs your help!
Join the Dudley Team at the Headquarters of Boston Food Bank. We will work
together on an assembly line inspecting, sorting, and packing donated
grocery products to be distributed to hunger relief agencies.

Practices*
A lecture by Seth D. Powell, a PhD Candidate in the Committee on the Study
of Religion who studies yoga!
*What is yoga? How has it become so popular in modernity? And what are the
connections between the contemporary yoga one finds in a typical studio
today and the traditional yoga as practiced in pre-modern India? In this
lecture, we'll debunk some of the popular claims about yoga's past and
present; making sense of yoga from its earliest expressions in Sanskrit
texts to its changing and renewed status in the modern world. *

Join the Arts and Public Service Fellows for an outing to the newly
renovated Harvard Art Museums on a spring afternoon, April 11, at 12pm.

mindfulness course in collaboration with the HUHS.

Outing to Wayland
Come and join us to make April 18 a memorable Saturday by building a house
for a family in need! The Dudley House build team will join Harvard Habitat
for Humanity and drive to Wayland to help a family who wish to become
independent homeowners. This will be a meaningful activity of much fun!

It is time for Yoga Month in our Wellness Series and we are happy to invite

6. *Annual Earth Day Charles River Clean-Up*

Join the Dudley House Team and Charles River Watershed Association (CRWA)
for the 16th Annual Earth Day Charles River Cleanup, where thousands of
volunteers and community groups come together to beautify the banks of
Charles River!
