Dear Public Servers,
President Faust’s Task Force on the Prevention of Sexual Assault
<https://fasmail.harvard.edu/OWA/redir.aspx?C=JFlPfe1CK0GQh6vBMgycI5G492gIyN…>
will
be holding meetings in November at each Harvard school to learn from
students their perceptions surrounding sexual assault on campus, together
with their thoughts about how we might change our campus culture to reduce
incidents of sexual misconduct.
There are two meetings scheduled for GSAS student community:
Thursday, November 6, 10:00am-11:30am, in the Minot Room of Countway
Library on the Longwood campus
Monday, November 10, 6:30pm-8:00pm, in the Dudley House Student Lounge
It might be a good idea to attend one of these,
Cheers,
Dudley Public Service Team
Dear Comrades,
We hope this email finds you well!
Take a break from your mid-terms, and join us in helping your local
community on the first Saturday of the month to volunteer at the Harvest
Food Pantry!
Date: Saturday, November 1, 2014, 8:45am to 11:30am
Location to meet: The Starbucks at Central Square
This is a great opportunity to see how our community is working to combat
poverty. The pantry is based in Cambridgeport Baptist Church, where we will
be distributing food and clothing. We’ll meet at the Starbucks at Central
Square at 8:45am and then head to the pantry together. If you are

Dear All,
Please wear a purple ribbon together with us this month to promote the
awareness of preventing domestic violence.
Location&time to distribute the ribbon: Dudley Cafe, Friday, 11:30 am - 2 pm
According to studies cited by the Centers for Disease Control and
Prevention (CDC), one in three women and one in ten men have been subject
to stalking or physical violence in the context of an intimate
relationship. October marks Domestic Violence Awareness Month, in which
organizations across the nation seek to draw attention to this dire problem
of violence between intimate partners and at home. To promote the fight
against domestic violence, the GSAS residence hall liaisons for the Office
of Sexual Assault, Prevention, and Response (OSAPR) together with related
graduate student organizations will distribute purple ribbons outside
Dudley Cafe from 11:30 to 2:00 pm on Friday, October 23. Please pick up a
ribbon to show your support for the eradication of domestic violence.
Have a nice day!

Hi All,
Hope you enjoyed the long weekend!
The Law School is looking for some actors willing to participate in a
simulation of interviews about human rights issues. We thought you might be
interested!
Here is the announcement:
*The IHRC runs a role-play simulation for students to help them prepare for
real life interviews related to human rights abuses. For this first time in
eight years of running the simulation, we’ve had many of our actors
back-out of the project at the last minute. For that reason, we’re in the
process of scrambling to fill roles.*
*The role-play itself will take place on October 17 and is divided into two
sessions: 8am-2pm and 2pm-8pm. We’re looking for a commitment of just one
session, six hours total. If you could do both sessions, even better! For
the most part, actors will be interviewed by groups of students, and each
group will decide how the interaction happens (in some cases groups will
designate one student, and in some the whole group will be talking).*
*Please email Katherine Talbot <ktalbot(a)law.harvard.edu
<ktalbot(a)law.harvard.edu>>!*
In case you are interested please contact Katherine Talbot directly,
Best wishes,
