Holiday Toy Drive!

Donate gifts to children in Boston and Cambridge!
Please join Dudley House in participating in ABCD's annual Holiday
Gift Drive! This event aims to ensure that every child, no matter how
poor their family, receives a new toy this holiday season.
GSAS students, faculty, and staff are invited to donate NEW and
UNWRAPPED gifts for children ages 1 to 15. Gifts can be placed in the
collection box in the Dudley House Lobby.
Bring a toy to the Winter Waltz and get entered in a raffle! Win a
$25 gift certificate to Finales.

Have a few spare hours on Thursday? In case you've forgotten, there's
always a place for you at the Harvard Square Homeless Meals Program.
If you come on the 8th, you'll even get to eat the cookies we'll be
baking at our next cookie bake!

Learn to Knit & Crochet in the Gato Rojo Café
Tuesday, Dec. 13, 6-8pm, Café Gato Rojo
Keep your stress level low, your hands busy and your friends and
family wrapped in warm, wooly scarves this winter season!
We're starting a knitting and crocheting group. All abilities are
welcome. If you are a beginner, instruction, yarn and needles will be
provided at the meeting. Just bring your hands and a desire to learn!
If you already knit & crochet, bring your works in progress along for
crafting, coffee and good company.

On-going Clothing Drive
Can't see into your closet? Have more clothes than you can wear? Have
clothes that you never wear? Please help by donating your still
wearable clothing into donation boxes in the lobby of Dudley House and
the dormitory laundry rooms. Clothing collected will go to the
Luthern Church homeless shelter in Harvard Square.

Join Team Dudley for the Charles River Tree Pruning!
Saturday, December 10th, 10 am - 2 pm
Come spend a few hours along the Charles River to help restore the
beauty and vitality of the Charles River Parklands! We will be helping
with tree pruning and invasive removal on this day. Your work will
help make the river beautiful for spring!
Join us when you can, even if you are unable to volunteer for the
entire session. We will be working along the river between the Weeks
Pedestrian Bridge and Larz Anderson Bridge on the Boston side, in
front of Harvard Business School. Work gloves, bags, and other
supplies will be provided.

Student Public Service Grant Available!
Deadline for Applications is Friday, December 16th
Graduate students from all Harvard graduate and professional programs
are eligible to apply for grants to support public service groups and
activities. These grants are made possible by the generosity of the
Harvard-MIT Cooperative Society (The Coop) and average $500-$1000.
Detailed information about the application process can be found at the
webpage of public service at Dudley House
(http://www.fas.harvard.edu/~dudley) and in the 3rd floor Dudley House
Office. Applications are due December 16th in the 3rd floor Dudley
House office.

Blood donation can take anywhere from 1 hour (early in the week and
early in the day) to 2 + hours (later in the week and later in the
day); appointments are strongly encouraged to speed up the process as

Faces of Cambridge
Saturday, December 3rd, 1-7p, Zero Arrow Street, Harvard Square
Enjoy FREE food and LIVE entertainment? Interested in professional and
student PHOTOGRAPHY of the sights and faces of Cambridge? Want to help
support the CAMBRIDGE COMMUNITY?
Cambridge Student Partnerships, a student-run non-profit, will be
hosting its Third Annual "Faces of Cambridge" benefit photo gallery to
benefit our organization and its clients: the low-income residents of
Cambridge. The event will take place on Saturday, December 3rd from
1-7pm at Zero Arrow Street in Harvard Square, and will offer
refreshments from local stores, and feature Cambridge-based musicians
