This event aims to ensure that every child, no matter how poor their family, receives a new toy this holiday season. GSAS students, faculty, and staff are invited to donate NEW and UNWRAPPED gifts for children ages 1 to 15. Gifts can be placed in the collection box in the Dudley House Lobby. Bring a toy to the Winter Waltz and get entered in a raffle! We're starting a knitting and crocheting group. All abilities are welcome. If you are a beginner, instruction, yarn and needles will be provided at the meeting. Just bring your hands and a desire to learn! If you already knit & crochet, bring your works in progress along for crafting, coffee and good company. Saturday, December 10th, 10 am - 2 pm Come spend a few hours along the Charles River to help restore the beauty and vitality of the Charles River Parklands! We will be helping with tree pruning and invasive removal on this day. Your work will help make the river beautiful for spring! Join us when you can, even if you are unable to volunteer for the entire session. We will be working along the river between the Weeks Pedestrian Bridge and Larz Anderson Bridge on the Boston side, in front of Harvard Business School. Work gloves, bags, and other supplies will be provided. Deadline for Applications is Friday, December 16th Graduate students from all Harvard graduate and professional programs are eligible to apply for grants to support public service groups and activities. These grants are made possible by the generosity of the Harvard-MIT Cooperative Society (The Coop) and average $500-$1000.
