Dear Dudley Public Service enthusiasts,
For those wishing they could give back to the local community but are

us in serving a three-course dinner to the local community with the Harvard
Square Churches Meal Program this *Thursday April 4, 2019
(4:15pm-7:00pm). *This
is a one-off commitment.

Thursday evening at Christ Church Cambridge. Their mission is to
provide a *free
and nutritious meal* in a hospitable environment to anyone who needs a

We will convene as a group outside of Dudley House and walk 2 minutes to
Christ Church, where we will receive an overview of the Meal Program before
helping serve dinner from 5-7pm.

We hope you've been enjoying our Dudley House Wellness Week lineup!
Friday is our final day of Wellness Week, and we are capping it off with
two fun activities:

your way into lunch tomorrow! Jess, Dudley House Food Literacy Fellow, will
be stationed in front of the cafeteria with a large collection of teas and
exotic spices for you to blend in your own ~custom~ tea! She's also armed
with information on the health and relaxation benefits of each individual
herb, spice, and tea to choose from. Join her from* 12pm in front of Dudley
Café *until supplies run out!
Then, up for some fun social activities after a long week? Join us for *Speed
Friending*-- Dudley's fall event back by popular demand! Enjoy beverages
and fun games to get to know more of your peers at Dudley House. *7-9pm in

Dear Public Service enthusiasts,
We hope everyone who received a free chair massage is feeling relaxed after
a very successful day one of Dudley House Wellness Week!
For those that missed out today (sign-ups filled up in 10 minutes!), please
join us for day two tomorrow, featuring a Sleep Workshop and Mindfulness
101 - no sign-ups required! With midterms and thesis deadlines creeping up
and winter sticking around for now, it is the perfect time to recharge and
make sure you're looking after your mental and physical well-being. Please
see below for further details:
*Sleep Workshop (12-1pm in Dudley House Common Room)*
-
- Sleep deprivation can not only have a detrimental effect on one's
ability to focus, it also negatively affects mood, hunger/appetite, and
stress levels. In this program, participants will learn about obstacles
they might face to getting a good night's sleep, and learn techniques to
unwind and get a good night's sleep.
-
- *Mindfulness 101 (5-6pm in Dudley House Graduate Student Lounge)*
-
- Mindfulness 101 is an introduction to the practices of meditation and
mindfulness. Mindfulness helps develop the ability to be fully attentive
to all the moments of life, reducing the amount of time spent worrying
about the changes and challenges. In this workshop you will learn concrete
skills to take into your everyday life. Join us for this 60 minute
workshop provided by the Center for Wellness and Health Promotion!

Happy Friday, public service enthusiasts!
We wanted to share with you a project we have been working on since last
semester, and are excited to launch soon:
Wellness Week at Dudley House, *February 25 - March 1*!
We think it's important to take some time to unwind, recharge, and give
some quality time to other aspects of your life and well-being, so have
planned a fun-filled week of events to help you do so.
